CEO and owner of Lamadrid Estate Wines
In 1961, an 11-year-old boy was sent from Cuba to Miami; his destiny was uncertain but his success would only be a matter of time. Many years later and having lived a lot of different experiences, Guillermo García Lamadrid is now proud to be a Cuban-American citizen that lives in Puerto Rico. He is a man who loves his family, his business, his life, and Argentinean wines.
For a long time, Guillermo García Lamadrid worked in the food-stuff business importing to and distributing mainly in Puerto Rico but also in South and Central America, Florida and across the United States of America. After 33 years of total dedication, he sold his company and embarked on the greatest adventure of his life: Making wine in Mendoza, Argentina.
“In 2004 I went to South America to have a close encounter with my greatest passion; little did I know it would also become my new business affair. The winemaking process resembles my own history. A history that starts with the soil, with the “terroir” that brings me back to when I was a kid growing up in a small town in Cuba, where agriculture was its main source of income”
